Truckee Friends

Established in 1971, the Friends is an independent organization that supports the Truckee Library.

The mission of the Friends of the Truckee Library is to focus community attention on the continuing value and health of our library as a cultural, educational, and recreational asset.

The Friends sponsor cultural community events such as Poetry Readings, Publishing Workshops, year-round Book Sales, Best Sellers books, and "Truckee Reads," a town-wide reading project with a weekend of book discussions and programs. The Friends promote and support the Library’s offerings for children such as the Winter and Summer Reading Programs.

The Friends raise money throughout the year to fund these and other projects for the Truckee Library. Gifts to the Friends of the Truckee Library are tax-deductible.
This Committee is mandated to review, advise and monitor the library’s revenues, expenditures, and services.
Nevada County Library Foundation

The Nevada County Library Foundation was established in 1997 to provide private support for the county libraries. It receives, manages and disburses funds from gifts and bequests to the Library. Your gift or bequest, regardless of size, makes it possible for the Nevada County Library to sustain a level of excellence and to expand resources, programs, public services and facilities.

Gifts to the Nevada County Library Foundation, whatever the amount, may result in significant and immediate tax savings because contributions are tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
