Congratulations to the Truckee-Donner Parks and Recreation Board for their unanimous vote March 12, 2009 to pass an ordinance making Regional, Meadow and River View Parks curb to curb smoke free in Truckee!  They also included The Club House on the golf course and included a 150 ft. smoke free area around it.  All good news!

The Sierra Sun in Truckee ran an article in April 2009 when the TDRPD Board adopted the smoke-free policy at Ponderosa Golf Course, making a total of FIVE smoke free parks!  Click to read the article.

The Nevada County Youth Coalition has worked hard to create smoke-free parks in Nevada City, Truckee and Grass Valley.

Nevada County has two smoke-free skate parks:

• Regional Park, Truckee
