In order for Nevada County to pilot the VCA an Election Administration Plan (EAP) needs to be put together by the county in collaboration with its community. An EAP must include information about how the election administrators plan to educate and reach out to the public regarding the choices that come with the VCA model. The requirements for an EAP begins with Elections Code §4005(a)(10) located here. Once the EAP is determined to be complete it will be submitted to the California Secretary of State for approval.
This Elections Administration Plan checklist was put together by Voter's Choice California, a nonpartisan group, to give communities adopting the Voter's Choice Act a framework for analyzing their government's Election Administration Plan.
As far as the items on the checklist go, there are items not present in our EAP that will be addressed at our meeting on Tuesday, November 14.
Feel free to use it when going through our EAP.
