Volunteers Needed for Free Residential Green Waste Events

2021-GW_Website (1)

This May and June, the County of Nevada is proud to be partnering with the Fire Safe Council, Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District, Town of Truckee, and Truckee Fire Protection District to bring free green waste disposal back to residents! Don’t miss this opportunity to get rid of your green waste for free. There is no limit to the amount of green waste residents may bring.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Volunteers are needed in both Grass Valley and Truckee to help direct traffic, collect participant information, track loads received using a tablet/iPad, answer questions, and perform an initial inspection to ensure blackberry, Scotch broom, poison oak as well as oleander are not in loads of green waste. This is an outdoor workday, however, COVID-19 work protocols and social distancing will be observed. Depending on your assigned duties, you may be asked to wear a mask if social distancing is not possible. Please make every effort to comply with current Public Health guidelines for the health and safety of the community.
